- make a table and graph it
- y-intercept is c
- axis of symmetry with -b/2a
- vertex from axis of symmetry with f(-b/2a)
- a tells if opens up or down
- small a means wide parabola, large a means narrow

Solving

- solution = root = x-intercept = zero
- read from table or graph
- completing the square
- quadratic formula
- discriminant and number of solutions

Intercept form: f(x) = a(x - p)(x-q)

- p and q are x-intercepts
- factor standard form to get intercept form
- FOIL intercept form to get standard form

Complex numbers

- standard form
- add, subtract, multiply, divide
- simplify roots
- powers of i

Vertex form: f(x) = a(x-h)^{2} + k

- change standard form to vertex form
- read vertex = (h, k) from vertex form
- axis of symmetry

Quadratic inequalities
