Here are some of the more interesting seedlings I've bred. Some will be future introductions, others will be eventually discarded. If you think that they might be of use to you, contact me.

  • MH1430H MH1430H (Huben ) ? E ?, NearWhite Self, Dor Dip
    (Frozen * Chill)
Another near white early, much whiter than the others. Excellent substance and opens well in cool weather.
  • MH1331E MH1331E (Huben ) 26 E Re 3.5, NearWhite Self, Dor Dip
    (Helicopter * MH1107N)
You know how sometimes the first bloom is all you need to decide on an introduction? MH1331E opened today, and looks like Nutmeg Elf in near-white.
  • MH1310.7 MH1310.7 (Huben ) NearWhite Self, Dor Dip
    (MH1112I * MH1118C)
A precocial sibling to MH1310.27 that also has rapid increase.
  • MH1310.27 MH1310.27 (Huben ) NearWhite Self, Dor Dip
    (MH1112I * MH1118C)
Remarkable for being precocial (blooming in only 7 months from seed) and extremely rapid increase (8 baby fans from the first one.) The clear color, green throat and beautiful form are a big bonus. This pollen went onto every rebloom parent in the garden. No rebloom yet, but I can't wait to see how it performs in 2015.
  • MH1211.10 MH1211.10 (Huben ) 20 EM 3.5, NearWhite Self, Dor Dip
    (Helicopter * MH0902S)
A first attempt to bring narrow forms into white rebloomer lines. Not as narrow or white as the ultimate goal, and no sign of rebloom yet. Maybe next year.
  • MH1195P MH1195P (Huben )
    (Castle Pinkney * Isabelle Rose)
    What a face!
  • MH1195D MH1195D (Huben )
    (Castle Pinkney * Isabelle Rose)
    What a face!
  • MH1194A MH1194A (Huben )
    (Ice Trumpets * MH0463H)
Near white the first year and cream the second, but the green throat is awesome. Excellent branching and budcount.
  • MH1190E MH1190E (Huben ) 28 E 3, NearWhite Self, Dor Dip
    (MH9735A * Gladycita)
    Extreme trumpet!
  • MH1187D MH1187D (Huben ) 60 ML 5, Yellow Self, Dor Dip
    (Phantom Snowbird * Autumn Minaret)
An outcross of a round, ruffled white to Autumn Minaret that combines height with 4 branches and 21 buds, great plant habits and erect scapes. It doesn't open well, but who cares: the next generation can add good opening.
  • MH1182C MH1182C (Huben ) 46 EM 6, Burgundy w'Rose Halo, Dor Dip
(Pit Of Despair * Sobek 95.43)
    Extreme trumpet.
  • MH1173B MH1173B (Huben ) 50 M 4.5, Red w'White Midrib, Dor Dip
    (Indelible Blood * Autumn Minaret)
This cross illustrates why there are no registrations from Autumn Minaret. Autumn Minaret is very late and will not set seed, so you need to save the pollen over the winter to put it on something nice. And then results don't look like much. But there are a few important things to notice: you can get excellent color clarity and green throats from your pod parent; vigor, height and 6 branches with 43 buds from Autumn Minaret. The next generation should produce some beauty with excellent plant habits.
  • MH1171C MH1171C (Huben )
(MH0852V * Yearn To Be Clouds)
  • MH1170E MH1170E (Huben )
    (Exalted Trumpets * Sobek 93.36)
    Distinctive, but ugly.
  • MH1169D MH1169D (Huben ) 50 E 3.5, Purple Bitone, Dor Dip
(Clarity Of Purpose * Sobek 93.36)
Huge, erect, slender scape with 5 branches and 27buds, very white base color.
  • MH1164A MH1164A (Huben ) 44 E 3.25, Rose w'Pink Halo, Dor Dip
(Sobek 93.36 * Forsyth White Buds)
Awesome scape with 7 branches and 31 buds.
  • MH1156D MH1156D (Huben ) 30 E 4, Melon Self, Dor Dip Bud
(Wompom Song * Sunshine On Clouds)
A pale melon bud builder with 3 branches, 20 buds, and excellent increase in my garden.
  • MH1142E MH1142E (Huben ) 32 EE Re 3.25, Cream Self, Dor Dip
    (Frozen * LRCJO)
A much lighter yellow than in this picture, opening two weeks before Stella De Oro with good ruffling. 5 branches, 18 buds, instant rebloom this year, diamond dusted, opens at 50 degrees, may carry melon, closes poorly, may be slow increaser and would not set seed.
  • MH1128E MH1128E (Huben ) 44 E 3.5, Melon Self, Dor Dip
(Exalted Trumpets * Army of Darkness)
A very pure melon, ruffled, OWC, 4br30bu, erect, stiff scape, sunfast, narrow and trumpety. Pod sterile, pollen weak, carries dark scapes.
  • MH1125X MH1125X (Huben ) 42 E 4.5, YellowGreen Self, Dor Dip
    (LM2 * Army of Darkness)
    Dark scapes!
  • MH1125G MH1125G (Huben ) 44 E 4, Yellow Self, Dor Dip Noc
    (LM2 * Army of Darkness)
This one has tall, very dark scapes with 7 branches and 36 buds. I'd introduce it in a heartbeat except that the scapes fall in my garden. The flowers are green throated, large, bright and beautiful, if tailored. I'm breeding this to melons with erect scapes and some dark scape genetics.
  • MH1125F MH1125F (Huben ) 55 EM 5, Rose Bicolor, Dor Dip Noc
    (LM2 * Army of Darkness)
erect, 7br36bu, melon base, carries dark scapes
  • MH1124B MH1124B (Huben ) 38 E 3, Gold Self, Dor Dip
(Little Cheese * Army of Darkness)
    5br36bu, dark scape, GT
  • MH1123D MH1123D ( ) 32 E 3, Gold Self, Dor Dip
    (Golden Sprouts * MH0735Xh=Huben)
unusually pale buds, 5br23bu, rapid increase
  • MH1123B MH1123B (Huben ) 32 E 3, Gold Self, Dor Dip
(Golden Sprouts * Army of Darkness)
OWC, EMO, Dark++, 5br30bu, bronze sepal backs, stiff erect scape, GT, foliage dark, glossy, low
  • MH1123A MH1123A (Huben ) 32 E 3.25, Yellow Self, Dor Dip
(Golden Sprouts * Army of Darkness)
This one is preregistered already as 'Vader's Choice' because the scapes are so very black. It has only one fault in my opinion: the flowers are yellow. The flowers have a green throat and bronze sepal backs and open well early in the morning even in cool weather. The stiff, erect scapes are dark on all sides and have up to 5 branches and 30 buds. The foliage is dark, glossy, and low, and it is a good increaser.
  • MH1122.22 MH1122.22 (Huben ) 32 E 3, Melon Self, Dor Dip
(From Darkness Comes Light * Sobek 84.76B)
Great increase, dark scapes and it is not yellow.
  • MH1121R MH1121R (Huben ) 42 EM 4.5, Pink w'Purple Eye, Dor Dip
    (Frequent Flyer * ESP)
    4br25bu, should carry rebloom
  • MH1120G MH1120G (Huben ) 40 M 5, Pink w'Purple Eye, Dor Dip
(Frequent Flyer * Ida Mae Norris)
This sunfast sibling to MH1120A has an even better appearance. The scapes are slightly shorter, and it only had 4 branches and 10 buds this year, but the scapes do not fall. It was an obvious choice for a sibling cross, since it should also carry rebloom.
  • MH1120A MH1120A (Huben ) 44 EM 5, Pink w'Purple Eye, Dor Dip
(Frequent Flyer * Ida Mae Norris)
What a pleasant surprise! I wanted to bring the fabulous form of Ida Mae Norris into rebloom lines. I didn't get rebloom (and didn't expect it this generation.) But I got terrific tall scapes and amazing color clarity with excellent branching and budcount. It is sunfast, has 4 branches and 22 buds and should carry rebloom. The scapes fall: that is a major fault. But this is one of my most heavily used parents for 2014.
  • MH1118C MH1118C (Huben ) 18 EM Re 3.25, NearWhite Self, Dor Dip
    (MH0416A * MH0801V)
Short rebloomer with a huge green throat that holds all day. Great form, 2br8bu.
  • MH1117B MH1117B (Huben ) 22 E 4, Cream Self, Dor Dip
(But I Repeat Myself * Brilliant Bouquet)
  • MH1116E MH1116E (Huben )
    (MH0315E * Green Effusion)
    A melon and white bicolor.
  • MH1115X MH1115X (Huben ) 34 E Re 3.5, NearWhite Self, Dor Dip
    (A Small Multitude * MH0902S)
Tall, slender, graceful scapes with loads of buds and reblooms! 4br28bu, opens flat, sunfast, melon side of near-white.
  • MH1115R MH1115R (Huben ) 26 E 3.25, Melon Self, Dor Dip
    (A Small Multitude * MH0902S)
6br44bu, no bud drop, wide blunt sepals, tailored, bonsai scape, excellent increase
  • MH1115E MH1115E (Huben ) 30 E Re 3.25, Yellow Self, Dor Dip
    (A Small Multitude * MH0902S)
    4 scapes from a single fan! First scape 6branches and 46 buds, later 27, 28, 10+ buds.
  • MH1114C MH1114C (Huben ) 33 EE 3.5, Melon Self, Dor Dip

extremely pure melon, a week before SDO, OWC
  • MH1112K MH1112K (Huben ) 30 EM Re 5.5, Ivory Self, Dor Dip
    (Encore D'Ivoire * MH0320C)
very round and ruffled, 2br12bu, almost beige
  • MH1112I MH1112I (Huben ) 32 EM Re 4.25, NearWhite Self, Dor Dip

A lavender bitone rebloomer of startling clarity. Sent up 3 scapes from the one fan.
  • MH1110A MH1110A (Huben ) 26 E Re 3.75, NearWhite Polychrome, Dor Dip
(Vanilla Stella * Height Of Fashion)

  • MH1109K MH1109K (Huben ) 24 E Re 3, NearWhite Self, Dor Dip
    (Vanilla Stella * MH0902S)
